FAQs
Am I going to lose weight on a cleanse?
The answer to this is variable. Your body knows what to do, so trust it. We try not to focus on weight loss as a goal at Jujuice, but we understand that it is important to a lot of people. You might also find that the cleanse actually prompts your body to re-balance itself.

Who should cleanse?
In our minds, adults can benefit from a cleanse program as a regular part of their lifestyle regimen but no more than once a month. Whether you are a stressed out workaholic or a stay-at-home mom, the truth is that life is no longer as simple as it once was. We are all busy and struggle to find time for ourselves and often our health suffers as a result. Jujuice cleanse programs are designed for adults to enjoy, even those of you who are lactose-intolerant and keep a vegetarian or gluten-free diet. Children under 18 should not participate in our cleansing program. **Please keep in mind that our cleanse programs are NOT appropriate for those of you who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or suffer from certain medical conditions. Consult your health care provider before starting a cleanse program if you have a medical condition or take medications.

What if I get hungry?
Most people don’t experience lasting hunger on a juice cleanse. You will be consuming 6 bottles per day and lots of water, meeting basic caloric needs and
infusing your body with nutrients from more vegetables and fruits you could eat in a day. We recommend eliminating solid foods except for optional raw entrees, and here are a few tips when dealing with hunger:
-
Try drinking more water or herbal tea, and waiting at least 20 minutes. Normal hunger cravings usually subside within that time.
-
If hunger cravings don’t subside, eat a few slices of cucumber, green apple, or other low glycemic raw fruit or vegetable.
-
If you need something warm and/or savory at dinnertime, boil vegetables and herbs in purified water to make a broth. Drain the veggies and consume the clear broth.

Can I exercise while on a cleanse?
Definitely, just try to be gentle with yourself. You are still getting nutrition, but it is wise to beware of lower volume of foods. You will most likely find that you have lots of energy and if you so desire, go for a light jog or power walk around the neighborhood. Otherwise it's always a great idea to stick to yoga or pilates for that added effect of intense breathing to help you maximize your cleanse.

How often can I cleanse?
This is a personal decision that should be discussed with a health care professional. Many people like to cleanse whenever they start to feel seasonal health challenges. This can mean anywhere from once a month to once every three to six months. However, we advocate making our juices and drinks a part of your daily life, whether you are cleansing or not. Consuming the nutrients in our fresh-pressed drinks on a regular basis will support your system and keep your body in optimal shape, inside and out.

Why should I include cold-pressed juice in my daily routine?
Most people fall way short of including enough fruits and vegetables in their regular diet. The abundance of produce in each juice is an easy, convenient way to flood your body with fresh vegetables and fruits it needs for optimal health. Our juices are alive, raw and untreated in any way. This allows your body to receive the powerful, live enzymes and nutrients from the fresh juice. Live enzymes and nutrients act as “helpers” for our bodies to detox the accumulated toxins that result in imbalances and ill health.

Why does my juice taste slightly different from week to week?
Our juice does not come from a juice factory. Our juices are handcrafted in small batches to ensure the highest quality of cold-pressed juice available. We source produce with care, cold-press vegetables and fruits individually, then marry juices together in small batches to create our recipes. While our process is slow, it gives life to great juice with natural variances to surprise your taste buds.

What’s the difference between a juice and a smoothie?
Juice is extracted using a special juice machine that removes all or most of the insoluble fiber. Smoothies are made using a blender that includes the insoluble fiber even though it’s a liquid-like consistency. Fiber is certainly a great thing to include in your diet through smoothies or salads and other raw foods.
However, it’s important to drink juice without the fiber to extend your body’s period of digestive rest. Juice allows our body to remain at digestive rest

We do not diagnose or treat illnesses.
Individuals with serious illness should compile data from several sources prior to fasting.
Individuals using prescription medication should not do a cleanse since the effects of their medication will be amplified by their cleaner system. Extremely toxic people should not attempt cleanses longer than three days without medical supervision.
Women who are pregnant or nursing should not attempt a cleanse.
Jujuice does not make any claims of the effectiveness of juice fasting to cure or heal illnesses.
We are not selling weight loss programs.

We are serving cold pressed, fresh juice. Nothing more. Nothing less. Furthermore, we are serving unpasteurized juices. Although our standard for cleanliness in every phase of our juice production is unsurpassed, harmful bacteria may still exist in the juice, causing some individuals to become ill. This is a risk you take when eating cut fruit from a market or unpasteurized juice, whether in your home or at a fine restaurant
while still receiving the alive enzymes and nutrients from the vegetable. In periods of digestive rest, energy is diverted from the overload of digestion and directly towards healing and rejuvenation where needed.
